Dr. Jarvis Price, Principal
The Henry County Board of Education approved Dr. Jarvis Price as the new principal of Hampton High School during its May business meeting. His appointment is effective July 1.
“Dr. Jarvis Price joins Henry County Schools with an outstanding record of service in education, having demonstrated success in leading schools, fostering academic excellence, and cultivating inclusive, student-centered environments,” said Assistant Superintendent Dr. Joycelyn Jackson. “He has consistently shown the ability to unite staff, engage families, and elevate student achievement through his unwavering dedication to the schools he has served, and I am excited to welcome him to the Hampton High School community.”
Dr. Price’s extensive background in education includes experience as a teacher and more than 10 years in leadership roles as assistant principal and principal at the high school level.
As a school leader, he has led growth strategies across multiple measures of academic performance, including course enrollment, content mastery, and testing. His focus on enriching the overall learning environment for students and staff has resulted in recognition from the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals, among other distinctions.
“I am deeply honored to lead Hampton High School and serve the entire Hampton Cluster,” Dr. Price said. “I will embrace the community’s core values while actively uplifting student voices and partnering with families, businesses, and other district partners to enrich every learner’s experience. Together, we will cultivate a vibrant culture of excellence and engagement that helps all learners thrive.”
Dr. Price earned a Bachelor of Science in middle grades education from Georgia Southern University, Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees in educational leadership from Georgia College and State University, an Education Specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Georgia Southern University.
Additional certifications in educational leadership, middle grades mathematics, middle grades social science, and special education general curriculum underscore his commitment to ongoing professional learning rooted in a passion for nurturing thriving school cultures.
“Dr. Price’s qualifications reflect a genuine commitment to excel as a leader in education and optimizing student outcomes,” said Superintendent Dr. John Pace III. “His approach to academic instruction and administration will serve Hampton High School and Henry County Schools in fortifying a culture of proactive learning and excellence. We are proud to have him as a member of our team.”
Dr. Price will lead Hampton High School into the start of the 2025-2026 school year, which begins July 31.
